About Us
Inkuru = Story
We buy fabric that has already lived a life of its own and
use it to tell a new story about ourselves, our community,
our landscape, and our lives every time we sit down to
sew. It might have been a gift for our wedding or our first
baby, but now it’s a quilted heirloom for your story.

Made in Sunzu Village, Burera, Rwanda

We hope to create warmth for our communities and the
world by weaving our stories into beautiful and functional
quilts that will be our legacy for generations to come.
From the heritage wax prints, to the flannel batting we
use in our summer weight quilts and the cotton pearl
thread we finish each new story, we strive to produce
100% cotton products.
Every hem and scrap goes into some work of art so that
our community can feel pride in new clothing without
creating fabric waste.
